Please read our passage from Sunday and prepare to discuss the following questions:

  1. The end of Romans 12 teaches us of our responsibility to love our enemies and treat them with kindness.  Given the direct command in our passage from Sunday to love everyone we come in contact with, is Romans 13:1-7 a departure from the theme of loving others or is it directly related?  If so, how is it related?
  2. How does "loving your neighbor as yourself" fulfill the law?  Consider the specific aspects mentioned in verse 9.
  3. Our passage portrays our obligation to love our neighbor as a debt that is never fully paid.  What is another passage of scripture that teaches us the extent to which we should love our neighbor?
