Resources

Oasis strives to be a source of help and information for anyone who is interested. We have a variety of resources divided into four main categories--theology, reviews, history, and sermons. The Theology folder contains theological studies. The Reviews folder has synopses and evaluations of books and music albums. The History folder contains articles related to Church History. The Sermons folder consists of sermons that are preached in services at Oasis. New articles should arrive periodically.

Small Group Discussion Question for 3/28/2010

The following project, taken from the sermon on Sunday, is intended for discussion at our Tuesday night Small Group meeting and for discussion in individual families throughout the week.

Instead of spending time studying something in conjunction with this week's message, spend the time you would normally spend studying in prayer for two things:

• Pray that God would give you opportunities to share the gospel.

• Pray that God would give you a burden to see someone trust Jesus.

Tuesday night we will spend a short time in discussion of reasons why we do not share the gospel, and then devote the majority of our time to this continued prayer effort.

Small Group Discussion Question for 3/21/2010

The following project, taken from the sermon on Sunday, is intended for discussion at our Tuesday night Small Group meeting and for discussion in individual families throughout the week.

Luke records in Acts 24:25 that Paul "reasoned about righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment" with the govenor Felix and his wife Drusilla.  Pick one of these topics and study the theme in other passages of Scripture.  Try to get a good overall idea of what the Bible says about the topic.  On Tuesday night we will look more in depth at these three areas based on our study.

Small Group Discussion Question for 3/14/2010

The following project, taken from the sermon on Sunday, is intended for discussion at our Tuesday night Small Group meeting and for discussion in individual families throughout the week.

Based on 1 Corinthians 14:26, come up with one or two scriptural elements that could be added to our corporate worship services. Put some thought into practical application and methodology of how your suggestion could be implemented.

Small Group Discussion Question for 2/28/2010

The following project, taken from the sermon on Sunday, is intended for discussion at our Tuesday night Small Group meeting and for discussion in individual families throughout the week.

We learned Sunday that God want us to pray, praise, and serve thoughtfully and intelligently. In regards to the spiritual gifts God has given you, pick one way that God has gifted you. Explain Scripturally how that gift can be used to "build up" other believers. Then, give a practical example of how your gift can be used in the service of other believers and how you plan to start using that gift for God's glory.
